Jenny Slataper Harris

MA, LMFT-S, LPC-S, CEDS-S

(she/her/hers)

Eating Disorders. Working with new moms.

Jenny first discovered therapy as a teen when she was struggling with some issues that felt unmanageable. She was reluctant at first but was very surprised to find an amazing therapist who made it easy to face her fears and be vulnerable.

Since then, Jenny has wanted to help others find this same hope and became a licensed marriage and family therapist to realize this goal.

Over the last 15 years, Jenny has grown in her passion for helping clients open up to the process of counseling and embrace the possibility of their worth and purpose.

Mindfulness is an important part of Jenny’s therapy style because it helps you sit in discomfort, abandon toxic thoughts, and live life on life’s terms. She also utilizes Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Feminist Family Therapy.

Jenny is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Supervisor (CEDS-S) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).

She works to continue learning about the symptomatology and treatment of eating disorders.

She also really enjoys supervising clinicians working towards earning either (or both!) their LMFT and LPC full licensure. Jenny also supervises other clinicians who are applying for a CEDS.

When she’s not serving clients and working side-by-side with her husband, Robert, Jenny loves being the mom of two girls and spending time with dogs, especially boxers and pit bulls! She believes in the healing power of animals and has even had clients bring their pets to sessions. Dogs, cats, snakes, and gerbils have all joined her sessions.

Jenny really enjoys working with moms of littles and is starting a supportive group for new moms. More details to come!
